Team Coaching

1199509_italian_alpsIn order to meet the demands of today's hectic schedules, teams within the workplace must be able to continually change and evolve. Within any team there can be a wide range of unique individuals, all of whom must be able to work together in order to achieve set goals or agendas.

Team coaching can be key to ensuring that a team can work properly together. By assessing each member of the team, it is possible to identify their key strengths and thereby enable them to work to the best of their ability. The use of Belbin Team Role Profiling and the Myers Briggs Type Indicator enables the coach to identify the similarities and differences between the various team members, which in turn helps them to reach a better understanding of one another. This makes it possible for the team to work much more effectively together.

The key aims for team coaching are:

  • Identifying the purpose and the priorities of the team (key ideas, events and schedules etc.)
  • Outlining the team's environment (organizational trends, demands, etc.)
  • Analysing the performance of each team member
  • Building a strong team (working individually with each team member on performance related goals)
  • Developing an autonomous team
  • Maintaining equilibrium and balance (helping the team to help themselves)
